The FSC Mix label identifies products made from a combination of materials sourced from different sources. These may include FSC-certified forest materials, recycled materials and FSC-controlled wood.
FSC-certified forest materials can include virgin timber or fibre from forests that follow Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards for sustainable forest management. Recycled materials are reclaimed or recycled materials that contribute to resource conservation. FSC-controlled wood is not sourced directly from FSC-certified forests but comes from areas covered by the FSC system and helps reduce the risk of materials originating from unacceptable sources, including illegally harvested wood.
