Description
The FSC Mix label indicates that a product is made using a combination of materials from different sources. These sources can include FSC-certified forests, recycled materials and FSC-controlled wood.
FSC-certified forests provide virgin timber or fibre sourced from forests managed in accordance with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards for sustainable forest management. Recycled materials are reclaimed or recycled materials that contribute to resource conservation. FSC-controlled wood is sourced from areas covered by the FSC system rather than directly from FSC-certified forests and helps reduce the risk of materials coming from unacceptable sources, such as illegally harvested wood.
